Chehalis Lake
(this is a very long story but i will keep it as short as possible)this is where it all started,we were making the hour long drive into Ross Lake, just ten minutes from the lake and a fuel line failed in the truck.i left caroline and the mutts with the truck and trailer that we were pulling which carries our small boat.i hitched a ride into Hope and ended up at Jamie Davis towing compound.a tow truck driver by the name of Ken Brookhouse drove us back and then loaded up the truck and camper on his flat bed,and then hitched up our trailer,we all jumped in his rig and drove back out to thier compound in Flood Hope.during the drive out we through conversation soon realized that Ken and i went to the same schools in Richmond including Palmer when it burnt down.Ken remembered people like Mark Field and Bill Boyce, friends i went to school with,so that was pretty cool.
so Jamie Davis opened his arms to us and alowed us to stay the night and figure the truck out the next day.
as it turned out a steel fuel line had failed but it was saturday and we were unable to find a replacement so Jamie lent me a truck and i drove into Hope and purchased a silver soldering kit at Lordco for 50$ and proceeded to solder the fuel line.some said it would not hold but i proved them wrong and not only did it hold but i drove it that way for quite some time and then replaced it with a new line i bought off e-bay.
so once the truck was fixed we still had a night to spend some where?Jamie's compound is on Silver Skagit Road which is the same road that leads into Silver Lake and then further down to Ross Lake,Jamie owns land directly across the road from his compound and it sits on the edge of Silver Creek a beautiful camp spot that he invited us to stay the night on, so we did.
we frequented this spot over the summer and have become some what friends with Jamie and his crew.what started out to be a bit of a disastrous camping trip turned out to be something very unexpected.
this is a russian guy named Surgay who also stays on the creek just down stream on the opposit side.
